KUWAIT: A citizen who went to a police station to testify as a witness, turned a culprit when she verbally insulted an officer and pushed another before leaving the station.

Police summoned the lady to hear her testimony in regards to a case between two persons. When she finished her testimony, a captain told her she must repeat what she said in front of the investigator. This angered her and she reportedly insulted him. As she was leaving, an officer entered the room, but she pushed him aside. The two lodged a complaint against her.

Citizen duped of KD 5,000

A citizen accused a man of swindling her out of KD 5,000 under the pretext of 'garments trade.' The lady went to Fintas police station and complained against a citizen who convinced her to join him in a project to trade in women's garments. The man disappeared later after collecting the money from her. Police are investigating the case.

Wanted criminal arrested

Taima police arrested a wanted citizen who was roaming the streets at night. When police checked his civil ID, it was found that he was wanted to serve a 10-year jail sentence in a kidnapping case. He was sent to concerned authorities.

Man in drugs case

A citizen survived death from a cardiac arrest induced apparently by drug overdose at Jahra hospital. He was charged with use of drugs. The man was taken to hospital by his family and was admitted to the ICU where he was resuscitated. When his family was asked about what happened, they said it was due to drugs. He was charged with drugs use and detectives will question him once he regains consciousness.

Woman, accomplices arrested

Ahmadi police arrested an Indian woman along with three of her accomplices who used a residence in Sabah Al-Ahmad area to make liquor. An undercover source told the police about the place and after completing legal procedures, the police raided the place. The woman and the trio were arrested. The police found 250 bottles which are kept ready for sale. They also seized drums and distillery equipment. The Indian and her three accomplices were taken to concerned authorities. -- Alrai
