KUWAIT: A Kuwaiti citizen accused her stepson of stealing her jewelry. The woman, in her forties, went to the police station in Mubarak Al-Kabeer and told them jewelry worth KD 6,000 was stolen from her bedroom, and accused her stepson of the theft. Police are investigating.

Brothers fight A woman called police for help as her brothers were fighting. The girl was crying hysterically and said, “My brothers are butchering each other.” Police found the men bleeding as they used sharp objects and sticks during the fight. Both were detained and will be sent to concerned authorities.

Domestic violence A citizen accused her husband of breaking her foot when he deliberately pushed her down the stairs. The woman was taken to hospital by her sister for treatment. She said her husband caused the injuries when he pushed her off the stairs. Police are seeking his arrest.

Security campaign Police carried out a security campaign Friday, resulting in arresting 126 wanted people in addition to issuing 346 traffic citations. The campaign was led by Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahd and other ministry leaders. Twelve people were arrested on civil cases, 29 for absconding, 55 for not having an ID, 22 with expired residency permits, two to serve jail sentences, two on drugs charges, one on liquor and two for theft.

Absconders caught Five Filipinas who got acquainted after escaping from their sponsors were stopped by police. The women were reportedly shopping when police stopped them and found out that they were reported absconding. All five were taken to the deportation center.
