KUWAIT: His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's efforts within the humanitarian domain had earned him respect from his global peers, a fact which led to the UN honoring of the Kuwaiti top figure as a global humanitarian leader, said an official yesterday.

Head of the Kuwaiti women's society union Sheikha Fadya Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah affirmed, in a press statement, that His Highness the Amir's honoring back in 2014 came to commemorate his long-time effort within the humanitarian domain since he was foreign minister of the country.

The union is very proud to mark the sixth anniversary of naming His Highness as a humanitarian global leader and Kuwait as an international hub from humanitarian efforts, indicated Sheikha Fadya. The official took the chance to wish His Highness the Amir evermore prosperity and health and also expressed congratulations to His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber on the advent of this joyous occasion. She congratulated Kuwait on the return of the anniversary, wishing more progress to the country and its people. - KUNA
