KUWAIT: Acting Interior Minister Sheikh Talal Al-Khaled Al-Sabah gave orders to implement laws that organize the work of taxis in Kuwait. Among the rules are setting working hours for cab drivers in line with Kuwait's labor law, and making sure that drivers wear uniforms and carry valid health certificates. Furthermore, the vehicle must be in good shape and clean from the inside and outside. Drivers who commit repeated major traffic offenses will be deported, the ministry warned in a statement. The new measures go into effect on October 1st, combined with police crackdowns to inspect compliance with the regulations, the ministry added.
