The celebration was attended by the “mother” of the disabled Al-Sheikha Sheikha Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, chairpersons and board members of Tomooh Club and Kuwait Society for Guardians of the Disabled in addition to a large number of members of both the club and society.

Al-Sheikha Sheikha said she was pleased with the happy atmosphere as the disabled were enjoying the ceremony that revives “one of our old heritage customs, and contributes to connecting the present generations with their heritage that maintains the Kuwait identity”. Al-Sheikha Sheikha said various programs held as part of the celebration gave the opportunity to the disabled to display their talents and involvement with others in a show that embodied the importance of these activities and helped them integrate with the society.

She lauded the efforts of the club and Kuwait Society for Guardians of the Disabled in caring for the disabled both socially and psychologically, adding that this initiative will help them qualify, reach the next level of championship in the sports field and make achievements in the name of Kuwait.
