crime-scene-picKUWAIT: A young man was recently arrested and referred to the state security department over suspicions of practicing some illegal activities that might be related to terrorism. Security sources explained that the man, a stateless resident, was arrested in Taima, Jahra after police searched his vehicle at a checkpoint and found a large number of electric devices, electric cables and a small spy copter in the trunk. Police also found a power generator, a remote control, an electric circuit diagram in addition to a piece of paper including some significant locations in Kuwait.

Fatal accident

A 44-year-old citizen was run over and killed along Fahaheel expressway, said security sources, noting that the driver who ran him over was waiting on the scene when police arrived. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress.

Gas station mugging

A man recently filed a complaint accusing another of insulting, assaulting and robbing him of his wallet at a gas station in Fahaheel industrial area, said security sources. A case was filed and investigations are ongoing.

Smuggling attempt foiled

A man was recently arrested on arrival at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle in a piece of hashish he hid within his clothes. He was taken to the Drug Control General Department for further action.

Illegal exit

Two citizens and two stateless men were recently arrested when both stateless men and one of the citizens tried to exit Kuwait through the Salmi land border exit using the same civil ID of a citizen, said security sources.
