KUWAIT: Waleed Al-Khashti receives one of Zain’s awards.

KUWAIT: Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, proudly received four titles as part of the Advertising Creativity Award 2017. The award, organized by the Arab Media Forum, came for the fifth year under the patronage of the Minister of Information Mohammed Al-Jabri and the attendance of the Minister's representative, the Information Ministry's Undersecretary for External Media Faisal Al-Mutlaqim and Director of the Arab Media Forum Madhi Al-Khamees.

During the awarding ceremony, Zain received four titles, including the Influence Category Award for Zain's Ramadan 2017 TVC, the National Campaigns Category Award for Zain's Kuwait National Day 2017 TVC, the Direction Category Award for Zain's Eid 2017 TVC, as well as the Public Relations and Corporate Sustainability Creativity Award for the company's long-list of initiatives and programs launched during 2017.

In the National Campaigns category, Zain won for its Kuwait National Day 2017 TVC, which was released on the occasion of Kuwait's National Day celebrations in February. In this ad, the company utilized the 360 camera technology, which allowed viewers to enjoy virtual maneuvering while watching the video, as if the viewer is actually living the moment in a revolutionary way.

In the Influence category, Zain won for its huge Ramadan 2017 TVC, which carried an important message that went viral and attained global success: that hate and terrorism has no place in that Islam, and that it is a religion of peace and forgiveness. The TVC reached 11 million views on YouTube, and received unprecedented worldwide media attention.

Zain also won in the Direction category for its Eid Al Fitr 2017 TVC which aimed at spreading a universal message of peace, and reached over 16 million views on YouTube. The company was also awarded with the Public Relations and Corporate Sustainability Creativity Award, which recognized Zain's various social and humanitarian campaigns launched throughout the year 2017 in line with the company's Corporate Sustainably and Social Responsibility strategy.

It is worth noting that Zain participated in a Public Relations and Marketing discussion panel that came as part of the Advertising Creativity Award 2017 organized by the Arab Media Forum. The event featured a number of prominent experts, academics, and specialists in the fields of public relations, marketing, and advertising.

This awarding comes in light of Zain's distinguished advertising and media involvement, and it further showcases the company's role as a leading private sector company launching several marketing and advertising campaigns all year round. Zain will continue supporting this very important field which carries significant and informative messaging to the public at large and the communications world as a whole, whether through traditional or modern media tools.

The Advertising Creativity Award 2017 was organized for the fifth year by the Arab Media Forum, which has proven itself to be one of the region's most prominent events that attend to Arab Media. The event brought together many ministers, media executives, journalists, academics, authors, actors, businessmen, and social figures from all around the Arab world.
