KUWAIT: Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, concluded its strategic partnership of The Challenge competition organized by Engineers Without Borders. The conclusion ceremony was held at Holiday Inn Hotel under the patronage and presence of HE Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs Hind Al Sabeeh.

Zain's support to the competition came in line with its Corporate Sustainability and Social Responsibility strategy, which closely focuses on contributing to the development of the youth sector and the encouragement of various student activities. The company partners with many organizations, including student bodies, to invest in education, which is considered an essential element of the further progress of national economy.

The Challenge competition, which was organized by Engineers Without Borders and lasted for 10 months, included a series of events and academic activities aimed at engineering students from the College of Engineering and Petroleum. The top 3 winning teams were announced during the competition's closing ceremony in which 25 teams competed for designing the best sustainable housing unit to be applied in refugee camps in Kenya.
