KUWAIT: Zain is honored during the conference

KUWAIT: Zain, the leading telecommunications company in Kuwait, announced its sponsorship of the 5th International Conference of Family Medicine in the Middle East (WONCA), which was held from 1-3 March 2018 at Jumeirah Hotel under the patronage of the Minister of Health Sheikh Dr Basel Al-Sabah and the attendance of the Secretary General of the Kuwait Institute of Medical Specialties (KIMS) Dr Ibrahim Hadi.

Zain took part in the opening ceremony, which witnessed the presence of Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Conference, Dr Huda Al-Duwaisan, as well as a number of local and international specialists, and experts in the fields of family medicine. Zain's support to the conference came as part of the company's Corporate Sustainably and Social Responsibility strategy towards the contribution of the development of the Kuwaiti healthcare sector.

The conference aimed at discussing and researching the latest medical advancements in the fields of family medicine, and discussed the need to apply the principles of family medicine with the highest quality, and to transfer and develop traditional clinics to ideal family clinics. The event stressed the importance of introducing the family medicine program within the curricula of medical students at Kuwait University in an intensive manner.

Zain's support to this conference is an extension of a series of partnerships the company is continuously adopting to serve its strategic and sustainable goals, ultimately contributing to the wellbeing and health of the community.
