KUWAIT: Zain, Kuwait's leading digital service provider, announced its platinum sponsorship of the 42nd Engineering Design Exhibition and the annual Zain Award for Innovation and Excellence. The event, organized by Kuwait University's College of Engineering and Petroleum (CEP), was held under official support from the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) at Sabah Al-Salem University City in Shadadiya under the patronage of Deputy First Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Zain took part in the event's opening ceremony at the Conferences Center, attended by the event's patron Deputy First Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khalid Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Research Dr Hamad Al-Adwani, Minister of Public Works and Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Amani Bugamaz, and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs and Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Ammar Al-Ajmi.

The event was also attended by Acting Director of Kuwait University Dr Suad Al-Fadhli, KFAS Director General Dr Khalid Al-Fadhel, Acting General Secretary of Kuwait University Al Musaibeeh awarding the first place winners in Zain's Innovation and Excellence Award.

Dr Fayez Al-Dhafiri, CEP Acting Dean Dr Ayed Salman, Director of the CEP Engineering Training Center and Graduates Dr Duaij Al-Rukaibi, Zain Kuwait's Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer Waleed Al-Khashti, as well as Kuwait University officials and faculty, private sector engineering firms, and engineering heads of government institutions.

The exhibition witnessed the participation of many projects from across the college's departments, as well as the presence of hundreds of students, who showcased their final projects to visitors. The Zain-sponsored annual Innovation and Excellence Award highlighted the most creative and innovative projects as per the standards outlined by the College of Engineering and Petroleum.
